Regardless of vehicle, getting bumper paint chips should be expected when driving. Agree, Nissan paint doesn't hold up to other makers, but you should always expect some kind of front bumper/hood chips regardless of what vehicle you are driving. Within weeks after purchasing my vehicle I had a clear bra installed.

Yes. It’s just a crappy thing to have to deal with either way. Especially on a $40,000 car. I’m not made of money so these little things here and there do get to you.

I’ll have to fix the paint chip and then install the clear bra. I was thinking Dr chip or possibly just a touch up paint from Nissan. It all depends. I don’t want to screw up the rest of my bumper by making a mistake with Dr chip.

My clear bra installer touched up all my chips for me as part of the deal. Now, when the clear bra comes off so will the paint, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hmmm. I’ll talk to mine as well. If I find a reputable one that is :)

Road Warrior Plus | Paint Protection that you ROLL ON! Car Truck RV Motorcycle Clear Bra

trbo1007 05-31-2018 06:57 PM

Road Warrior isn’t permanent but better than nothing. I have it on my Z. Hood, nose, pillars, & rockers. Roll on, water based coating. Need 2 to 3 coats to be able to peal off easily when you want to remove it. I have the Nissan OEM nose mask that has never been installed. It’s a discontinued part that’s hard to get hold of.

I've been keeping a nice distance from others on the highway and keeping cruising speeds under 65 mph

no bra or anything.... has been working very well :)

if i rip the car and drive the way the Z it's supposed to be driven.... i make sure theres no one around and theres no traffic up ahead.

in normal-to-heavy traffic i will stay in the right lane and stay far back from others.... people will pass me respectively and theres no rocks or anything being kicked up.

If you end up doing a clear bra I highly suggest getting your hood done as well! I bought my 17 PW Z last year on May and the amount of paint chips I've received in a year is insane :(
