Installing window tints on my 370Z

Hey guys. I am not planning on doing this myself but does anyone know if the window tint shop needs to remove the door panels to install the window door tint?

Reason I ask is because I rather just leave it without window tint to be honest. Don’t want random rattling on my car with only 350 miles to date

No they will not, or shouldn’t need to anyway.

Had mine done back in March. Nothing needed removed. Took about an hour for all 5 glass surfaces.

Something they'll probably know about, but theres a way to keep the window from automatically rolling down a little. I'd just check that they're aware.

If your installer is worth using, they will know to not only compensate for the bit the window rolls down, but will install the tint so it goes below the rubber seal at the bottom to keep the up and down every time you open the door from peeling the tint up from the bottom.

Wouldn’t this throw off the alignment of the window if the door was shut during the tinting process? I personally left about an half inch extra at the bottom when I did mine.

Its window tint, they will not remove anything and they will probably move the tint past ur rubber seal, literally nothing to be scared of

Search through the tint threads on this site. Many people have had it done with no problems. Just pick a competent shop.

Well. The car is brand new. I’m very picky with it. Especially dealing with others manhandling your pride and joy!

Tint it yourself. It took me approx 1 hour and 10 minutes.
