What is this loud cracking noise when I open my door or roll down my window?

Hey guys,

Can anyone please help me figure out what this loud cracking/ window dropping/ something pulling on plastic sound is caused by?

It happens rarely 1/10-20 times of opening the door or window. It sounds as if something gets caught and causes the sound.

Here are the videos:

Driver side window
Window opening normally:

Window makes that crack noise (Sounds much worse in person)

Door opening normally

Thanks for the help in advance!

Possibly the window sticking to the weather seals. Clean with mild soap and water then rinse well. Or you can use one of the many seal cleaners/conditioners that are available.

Looks like your window drops too much when you open the door. Compare to passenger side. I think your problem is inside the door. Take door panel off and check window operation when you can see inside.

Thanks. Taking her to the dealer in a week.

Maybe it hits the screw? http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...ml#post3277969. I'm assuming we've read most of the same things and I haven't seen this be mentioned. Probably not the case but it doesn't hurt.

Have you figured it out? I have the same problem

It was happening before the window tint.
It actually got worse but now the dealer wants an arm and a leg :gtfo2:
I think that its the window regulator thats getting caught on something or has gone bad.

Does anyone have a new news about it?

Hey Serg didn't you take the car in the first time while still under warranty? If it's out of warranty now maybe you can make a case that the issue was raised and left unfixed during the warranty period so it should be covered? I don't really know how that works but I feel like it's a solid platform to raise a stink over.

Mine does the exact same thing every once in a while. It's happened ever since the car was new but I never took it to the dealer to have it checked.
