Wrap to match OEM Pearl White

Anyone with the OEM pearl white (code QAB) have any success finding a wrap/combination of wraps that actually match?

I have a carbon hood coming (**** you varis wait times) and the plan is to wrap it to match the factory white if possible, leaving vents exposed CF. I got a shop that can paint it to match, obviously, but the option to remove the wrap appeals to me.

I have a pro shop (Imperial Works in Sacramento, best in the region) that's gonna experiment when the hood actually comes in. We did some super quick and dirty testing and found a decent option using a gloss white and another layer on top that simulated the pearl effect (forgot what that was called unfortunately).

Thought I'd ask around and see if there's a known match

I have no knowledge, but I would be shocked if you could find something that matched better than 'sort of'...

We spent a few minutes with a sample deck from 3M and none of the whites matched alone, but my installer had an idea to combo a white with another layer on top and it actually looked pretty close to the pearl effect of the factory white. That was just a couple square inches.

I fortunately have a good relationship with them so I have faith they'll put in the work and try to match.

if not, i'll just head to the bodyshop. Not ideal, but thought it was worth the experiment

Or could just say screw it and do this:

Buying a GTR seems like an extreme solution to this issue ;)

I'm mostly kidding. Don't really wanna pay for a full wrap. If i did i might as well ceramic coat the wrap also and then its a rabbit hole

i have no plans for widebody or vented fenders, the most i'd get is a lip kit but that'll never happen since Carbon Signal are ********, and i'm not payin to get custom stuff made. figure i'm mostly done with exterior stuff

Don't give up on OEM color. Give your hood to your guy and see if he can work some magic. Any way keep us up to date on this. Look forward to seeing the finished product.

I believe this is what we tried:

3M Ghost pearl over satin white.

From these pix the pearl effect looks much stronger than i've ever seen the OEM pearl white, even in the best possible sunlight

Any color can be printed on a wrap if you can't find the a basestock vinyl that matches. If you print on it make sure to get the UV coating installed or it will fade in little time.
