Nostrils for the Gen IIIs by Mines

A little pricey (sheesh), but this is what some of you were looking for to feed the Gen IIIs a bit better.

Mines Intake Duct Set Carbon Nissan 370Z

Waaay to much, I think it is on Stillen to produce that great front bumper. They have stated they have one coming and it will help airflow for the Gen IIIs and even their supercharger kit.

phelan 12-23-2009 08:59 PM

Way too much, and I still think those vents look godawful.

spearfish25 12-23-2009 09:13 PM

I suspect it's for the entire front fascia including the nostrils and splitter. At least I hope the price is for the entire fascia...

Kidcane 12-23-2009 09:13 PM

It better be for that price. In which case not a terrible deal.

Really? I was thinking the exact opposite by the way they call it a duct set.

Doubt it. The splitter itself is $1209 on that website.

Kidcane 12-23-2009 09:14 PM

$1100 for 2 CF vents is ricockulous! Few hundred tops for those.

nogoodname 12-23-2009 09:17 PM

need one big Q-tip to clean those bad boys

:iagree: That's crazy considering...

Snakes709 12-23-2009 10:49 PM

way to much, even tho they help feed air, its not going to net you any more power and it looks gay as hell anyways

motoextreme 12-23-2009 11:46 PM

When I first saw they I thought they would be great but they really dont look good on a light colored car. When I found out they cost 1200 bucks I just about fell over so I asked John to make them...who knows, maybe something down the road.

More then anything else, I wonder if they would do much for the HP. When Kawasaki switched their ZX7's to the RAM AIR system it was a really large HP gain. Pumping all that air into the airbox made for a much more powerful bike. My Right hand guy bought a new ZX6 last week and sure as heck they still use RAM AIR.

I'm really curious what it would do at speed...

I think they look good

spearfish25 12-24-2009 06:28 AM

Hell, you could change your Gen III airfilters through the nostrils practically.

Well, the problem is the nostril molds include a bit of a "tunnel", which may or may not impact the Gen III intake tubes. From what I can tell, the nostrils are located too far to the outside to provide any direct airflow to the filters, which are more centrally located.

Soon...
;) Coming from the computer world I hear that word way to often, I know you guys are working on it, but it is funny to see that word carried from industry to industry and how certain companies actually do stick to it.

kannibul 12-24-2009 08:00 AM

Costs too much, and IMO, loads the front end with too much "stuff"
