This makes good use of the pointless blank buttons, might try and pick one up next week :)

Or you could just 3D print one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2083528

To my surprise a library near me has a 3D printer, thanks for the idea

Would be cool to integrate one of ProClip's mounts and make an actual dock.

E.g. https://www.proclipusa.com/product/s...e-lighter-plug

As is, the phone is just gonna flop around.

Anyone have an idea what exactly this part is? I know it's some sort of electrical conduit box, but what are the dimensions...or part number...so that I can locate it on a big-box shelf. I'm surprised he didn't say in the video, and was pretty vague about the most important thing. He quickly pans over the shelf that shows some labels, but that's it.

I made a post a while back with my find that the rubber phone insert out of a new chevy malibu fits in the void almost perfectly. A little trimming and a jerry rigged wireless phone charger makes this a piece of cake for a quick and dirty diy phone holder.

I popped to Home Depot last week when in the US, managed to find it pretty easy despite the lack of info in the video. I will see if mine has a part number to post up later on. In store they had a few shelves worth of different size boxes, this was the only smaller box with 3 tabs on (that he cuts off in the video).
