New member: trying to find a nismo spoiler
Hey everyone. Just purchased a 2017 z mag black and am looking to put a nismo spoiler on it. I know the dealer price is very high. Are there any aftermarket companies y'all recommend that would have it pre-painted? Thanks for any help
|
1) What year nismo spoiler? I'm sure you're aware that the 09-14 Nismo and 15+ Nismo have different wings
2) Seibon makes a replica 09-14 Nismo spoiler but only in carbon fiber (not really, its just a layer on the outside). 3) Not sure why you'd want it "pre-painted" - would be much better to have your own local shop paint it so you can ensure its quality. Much easier dealing with local than whatever outside place you order from. 4) Look in the for sale section here, nismo spoilers pop up all the time. |

Thanks for the replies. I Would like a 15+ year
Is this legit?.... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Fit-For-0...&wl13=&veh=sem |
Well it's not 15+ and it's obviously a copy.
|
I have a carbon fiber one for sale if you're interested
|
|
I'm the 15+ Looks like the factory spoiler to me. I guess it's the 14- that I want.
Will it fit a 17? And any links to it? It's the spoiler that's kinda higher not flat |
Removing the the 15+ spoiler will leave about 20 holes in your trunk that need to be filled/painted
Then you need to redrill for the 09-14 one. Better to buy a new hatch from a sport/older nismo and watch the for sale section. it's stupid to pay dealer prices. they pop up fairly regularly |

I posted a bunch of for sale threads with 9-14 spoiler, but you said Quote:
What model Z do you have now? If you have a sport, it is a direct replacement (plug and play), but you need to tell us exactly what you want. |
I have a 17 but want the older Nismo spoiler.. however did not realize I would have to fill holes so that’s out of the question. Any similar spoilers for a good price where I wouldn’t have to fill holes?

Isn't frustrating when customers don't know what they want? |

OP. We all paid to play. It sounds like you have a sport spoiler because of the many holes that you say you have to plug. A base hatch would have been a better canvas. |

What about this one?

A copy obviously. Try it, you can return anything to Walmart.

$310 painted.

Wow, that’s not bad at all!! Fitment says only up to 2016 but I’ll assume 2017 would be fine too. But hearing mixed stories .. will there be holes to fill or not?
|
Please show me where the stories are mixed.
|
I think one person mentioned about having to fill in holes and another said I wouldn’t have to. Just was trying to clear that up.
|
OK. I will say it for a third time.
If you have any year Sport 370Z, the pre 15 OEM Nismo spoiler uses all the same holes as the sport spoiler(notice how the OEM part is in bold, no idea which holes copies use). Direct fit, no holes left over to fill. If you have 15+ Nismo 370Z (not Sport) you will need to fill some holes, because the 15+ Nismo spoiler has more holes then pre 15 Nismo spoiler and the extra holes are in the open once the 15+ Nismo spoiler (not Sport) is removed. I hope there is no ambiguity in this post. |
No ambiguity. Thanks for clearing it up.

Is magnetic black and black metallic the same color? I was looking for the color code and they appear to both be G41 if I remember correctly?
|
G41 is magnetic black.
