Splashguard or not to splash guard?
What are you opinions? Those that have a 370z what do you think of them tasteful?
I am pricing now with a dealer that does special deliveries for Military personnel stationed in Europe and Im trying to figure out if I should get that option or not. Also there is something on the build for extra cost paint? Havent heard anything about that |
I believe Educ8r has them on his new Z.
I believe they fit really well with the car. I know I will be getting them. Here is the splash-guard on his car: IMG_6454 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! |
Not a fan... but useful if you live where it rains a lot!
|
I would seriously consider them, at least the front one! The front, of the extended rear fender, may/could get "peppered" by rocks and pebbles from the front tire!
|
I have them on my 350. I didn't really care one way or the other at the time, but now that I look at them, it seems to give the 350 a tougher look. So just based on looks alone I dig it, then there is the functionality which is also a plus.
|
The front one on the 370Z blends in really well with the bodywork.
Might as well get them. If you don't like them, just take them off. Hmm, I didn't even notice that car had the rears at first. It might be the pics, but they really go with the bodywork. |
Also, the splashguards will catch rubber from those sticky tires that you use for the track.
I thought it was funny picking up chunks of Hoosier A6's from my father's C6 Z06 after some laps around the track. At least with the splash guards, they won't make it too far. |
I went with the splashguards. I think they looked decent on the black.

I'm not a fan.
I plan to clear bra the entire rocker panel. I did it on another car & it worked great. I had them wrap the seams & you didn't even know it was there. |
They came on my car, red, and I didn't even notice them. They blend in well.
|
i got them for my G cuz i liked the look. I think they look good on the Z as well but not a must have.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of them on the 350z, but the front ones blend very well on the 370z and enhance the look of the car. |
Def. yes. It's a very cheap add on and makes the car look "complete" appearance wise.
|
they will be included in my order. They blend well and with the rain here I think they will be a welcomed part of my Z

My opinion: Get Em! why? well my opinion again, I feel they complete the look as others have said... and the extra cost for the paint is only on the chicane yellow, what color did you request? |
No Splashguards through Parts Department???
I called a couple of local Nissan Parts departments here in Arizona and none of them list availability for splashguards. My car came without but I want to add them. Anyone know a good source with pricing? Nissan says they'll "call me back"...not holding my breath.

Here's one source: Exterior :: Accessories :: 370Z Parts (Z34) 2009+ :: CourtesyParts.com

The problem is that if the dealerships are not getting the parts neither will the aftermarket vendors.
|
lol...i didnt get splash guards on my G for 2 reasons
1) it looks better 2) the dealership didnt have any the Z looks better without them and they dont look too useful anyways Should have made a poll for this....go to thread tools and make one for us |

nogood = fail :gtfo2: |
Mine has splash guards.
1) It looks better since my car is black on black which does not show body's lines well like other light colors - splash guards give it more lines. 2) They make the rear fenders look bigger and wider. |
Make this a poll please, thanks.
|
Splash guard def make the car look complete from the outside. My previous Z didn't came with them but I installed them. You should def get it. :twocents:
|
As of this date, the splash guards are on national backorder in the States.
|
If someone has the front ones in PG and doesn't want them, I'll give you $40 for them.
|
Mine already were on mine, not sure if that's because it was the chicane yellow or not but I think it looks much better with than without.
|
not fan especially the 350z. it loks clearner without it
|
I don't think I seen a pic with them on a car yet ...
