Trunk opening. Can it be automatic?

I notice when I open my trunk I have to hold the button in and open at the same time. Has anyone been able to figure out how to open it automatically? I wish this car came with an automatic trunk button on the key -_- I struggle opening my trunk half the time because my hands sometimes are full when leaving the house

Replace the "assist buttons" (one on each side of the hatch) with stronger ones. IIRC, there is a TSB for that.

I think He wanted something like those on MPV,1 touch the boot open, using motor assist, fully to the top...w/o using hands.

Get these clear self stick bumper stoppers or whatever they are called. Stick them to the car, just under the black trunk springs. They will provide the extra force to pop the trunk open without having to do what you are doing. Under 1/2" thick will do the trick.
