Help with headlight tab broken/ purchase...

I purchased this brand new 2015 headlight on ebay it is the LH drivers side.

The owner just messaged me and told me that there was a tab that was broken that he was not aware of. So I can cancel the purchase...as he has not sent it out yet..

He says he fixed it with gorilla glue...but it looks like he made more of a mess then fixed it. Plus plastic to plastic bond...that wont hold probably.

I have never changed out a front light on a 370z before. Is this tab/location important?

Nope ...I am not! It is new except for this tab location ...the lenses are perfect and he purchased brand new and the box was damaged when he got it..... they are selling on this forum brand new and everwhere around 750 to 900 each one...I just got him to drop to 500...

What do you think about the location...?

OK I just looked at my car's LH light at it looks like a guide like thing where the light is fixed to.

Not that big of a deal.....Might vibrate

Its gorilla glue apparently...but nonetheless do you really think that tab is worth 300 bucks? because a real new one is around 775 to 800 bucks...used ones are going for mid 600's...I just got him to drop the price to 500...!

Here are pics of the outside:

Yep, if this clip was in a major area I would agree, seems like its just a guide area that I can secure in another way if needed....or not at all. Honestly at these prices buying 2015 lights is a stupid purchase...I know it...but I cant stand the chrome look of the OEM lights ...so If I can save 250 to 300 bucks its less stupid...:icon17:

I ended up getting both lights (on average) at 628 each. Both brand new except that one tab. If I sell my OEM lights for 500 to 600...then each light cost me just over 325 dollars each....that's less then getting my stockers opened up and painted...and potentially getting water leaks etc...

Unless someone can confirm that this tab location is really important...???

Well I am going to answer my own question: Found the diagram in service manual ....there are only 4 locations that bolts go to secure the headlight. This is not one of them ...this is a tab location for a wire harness or something...irrelevant and can be worked around..

The long rear tab is the most important one. If you have 2/3 of the others you'll be plenty fine.

I know this listing is for the passenger side, but Amazon has the driver's side one too, same price...... I'd pass on the busted one. :ugh2:

The ones he bought are painted. Probably a Nismo set.

Your link is to a chrome one , I purchased this one specifically because it is a 2015 Nismo Head light. This is the year that they changed over to black instead of chrome on the inside. Typically a 800-900 dollar light I purchased it for 500 that is over 40% off and only due to the irrelevant glued clip......I received it today and it is indeed is completely new with not a scratch anywhere !

I bought a set myself last year and that same tab broke on mine during delivery too. And yes all it is is to secure your wires (push clip tie strap) so they're not dangling. Those things are a pain to remove when taking off your lights. I just cut them sumbiches off and then use HomeDepot tie straps putting the new lights on
