That finish is called Black Chrome, its pretty difficult to work with but we're working on it.

Orb Rings, not halos ;) Yes, you can order just the Orbs, we only offer them in Pure White (5500K), we tend to stay away from colored LEDs because they don't handle the conditions within the headlights for a long period of time, so we highly recommend against using blue, red, or RGB lighting inside the headlights.

Here's a few more pics

All our LEDs are usually wired up to the parking lights. They can be turned on at any time and also stay lit with your HIDs. A separate switch can be wired up but we don't do the installation for those.

Thanks,
Alex

Do you have a separate switch for the landing strip and the parking light on this car?

Few random updates from the work we did in the past couple of months.

Are you using smaller LEDs than before?

Not sure if it helps but you may be able to use this for black chrome. I've used it before and it works great!

Dupli-Color :: Shadow

Not smaller, just different. We no longer use Superflux LEDs, they were just not reliable. We've been using a special kind of SMD LED with a lens, and they are very reliable and just as bright.

I think I've seen that before, not sure if I tried it. I'll look into it again

Do you ship to Canada? How much for the exact set up?

Do you have pics of the black painted ones with the red landing strip on a car? wondering what they look like overall

For anyone with the LED rings installed, ever been hated on by BMW drivers as being HALO rip offs?

I love the look of these 180* Can't wait to put my order in for a set.

Well what light is your DRL now? I'll just hook them up to that. Usually we hook them up to the parking lights or a switch.

I believe that setup has flat black housings and Dual Orb rings, which comes out to $600 installed.

Unfortunately we do not, as those headlights were shipped in and I never seen the car in person.

Ugh I hear that so much, and to me it doesnt even make sense. BMW didn't event a halo of light. Yes they have been putting halos in their headlights for a long time, but those are right next to each other, completely different shaped headlights. And these are LED rings, something BMW still doesn't do! We have put these LED rings in a ton of old and new bimmers!

chuckd05 07-20-2012 12:02 PM

Mine was the white car and I got nothing but love everywhere I went. Made my car standout and looked Incredible ... I now own a BMW and no ones ever made a comment hating on the old halos. People have said I should get the same angel eyes for the BMW lol.

180 does incredible work in a very timely matter. I was very impressed with them as a business and I am glad to see they got a proper shop!

jofro6 07-20-2012 01:14 PM

has anyone done the inside painted red? with black housings around the lights? curious how that would look, cause the white cars with the white insides look killer

Hey, if you guys ever come to the west coast (cough cough, Bay Area ), for an event and can do some headlight work, please let me know.
I would love to meet up with you guys for a day and get my headlights done.
