for 160 for a headlight paint job you cant go wrong.. they gaurantee there work and have seen countless awesome jobs come out of there so Id rather give that little bit of money than tackle it with the DIY..

Grey with paint matched shrouds ( few extra bucks ) would look good on black i think...

Also, PM me , maybe we can go together... I am doing the headlights and tails.. he was telling me that he takes the headlights out and you can drive home without them... but I cant drive home without tails... I was planning on taking a cab to the train station but if you are going to go too, I will just do it at your leisure and take care of your gas... LMK!

I was thinking of dark grey/gunmetal as well, and painting the door handles someday to match as opposed to body matching the handles.

As for getting there and back, if indeed Im ok driving with no headlights then Id be happy to give you lift, no gas compensation necessary. Would you have to leave the Z there then?

Mine are there now. Can't wait. Matte black housing with gun matallic shrouds and the amber colored reflector will also be GM. Not positive, but these might be the first GM headlights out there. I defiantly going to get the door handles done also. I should of talked to 180 about this.

Oh that must be the "Kick A$$ Dude" paint code, I love that one :happydance:

I'm thinking of sending mine in soon. Doing exactly the same as Spohn only with PG. I was curious to see if anyone did the housing in PG but I think that might not look as good as matte. My Z is sitting in the garage begging for mods :) I figure now is the best time to do this along with intake.

How long did they say it would be? Same turnaround as usual?

SPOHN 01-28-2011 09:37 PM

I always wanted to see pics of the housing be painted PG. But here are some pics of what your talking about doing. It's what I did also. As you already stated.

Just scroll down.

Ahhh thanks, I never saw this guys car. DannyGT's look sick.

I am pretty sure that's the route I'm gonna go but I'm still curious to see color matched housing along with color matched shrouds. White housing/shrouds looks awesome but I think the PG housing wouldn't pop as much as the white does. Sort of reminds me of a throwback look of the 240/260/280 with headlight covers.

kellyefields 02-08-2011 03:00 PM

you can see a pic of mine in my album. I did the gloss black housing and reflective strip and left the shrouds in the silver. If you are looking for a set done in red check out simota's profile.
