Remote Start 2016?
 

Trying to find options (best ones) for remote start on 2016 Z. Any ideas?

I used DEI's 5x10 piece. Does remote start and security from your factory key fob. It does limit your remote start range to the same range as your factory key; however, I managed to combat this by adding DEI's smart start app to my smart phone. That would allow you to remote start from any distance as well as receive security notifications if your alarm goes off. They make a t-harness for it too for easier install and you can add all the different security modules, i.e. tilt sensor, proximity sensor, glass break sensor, and auxiliary battery.

I'm interested in this as well. I looked up at a few modules, and there's a few places on Amazon that sells it as a PNP unit, but only for auto cars.

Are remote starts for manuals even a thing? Some people (like me) leave the car in either 1st or reverse when I park. Even if you fake out the clutch press somehow to fool the ecu, you still have to deal with the in-gear vs neutral question.

I was reading through the service manual and noticed that remote start is a feature that can be activated through the consult software. Has anyone ever gotten a dealership to activate the feature using Consult software?
