Dang, that looks NICE!
What's the wiring situation like with these? Soldering, I'm betting?

I wired an external switch so I can have them on separate from my headlights, Power, ground, and accessory.

I also did the same. I created a toggle switch control when I wanted it on and off. I have mine directly connected to the cigarette lighter at the fuse box. I will update when properly installed. The daytime running lights look very OEm.

Updated photos. Excuse the phone photos, The DRLs are bright. Will do a proper photo shoot this weekend. Enjoy.

Slightly back from the dead...

I just found this thread via google; our 370Z forum's search engine is not the greatest!

I've been working on my own solution. I was heading down the interstate a few weeks ago with cars on either side and hit a big piece of truck tire tread which ripped my s-type spoiler off and ruined my 09's cover.

I've been planning my own front conversion and found this 9 LED DRL used on the 2015-2017 KIA K2 which is the Russian/Chinese version of the Rio not sold here:

They are very bright and the black mounting flanges will make them very flexible to position and adjust the depth to fit the Nismo openings.

The Kia's application is almost identical in style, shape, size and placement as the Nismo!

$73 including shipping on eBay but it is from China so 4-5 week shipping time.

These are neat since they are switch backs and come with a control box which makes them brightest as DRLs, dim half bright with headlight switch on and additionally, can be wired to also act as switch back amber turn signals all of the time and can be switchable as fog lights by wiring in a switch.

Hmmm - might be cool since I could then change the blinker bulbs in the headlights to an additional bright LED wired to the headlight circuit and add a rocker between the seats for the fogs!. :driving:

Google 2015 Kia K2 DRL and many cool links pop up including some youtube vids in Russian! Although I'm sold on the one above, there are 2 other light styles in this same format available to choose from:

I'll keep everyone posted. :tiphat:
