Hood integrity

So before I start cutting into my hood, I was curious as to how does cutting into the hood ribs affect the integrity of the hood? Noting crazy I plan on using mustang vents something like this http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3d95f2b30d.jpg (photo props belong to cooltoy)

The ribs do everything for rigidity. Don't cut them with out replacing it with something equivalent or stiffer. There's also crash worthiness. Hoods are usually made to fold on impact so it doesn't cut your head off.

So any aftermarket CF hood is out of the question then?
