HELP Interior lights don't work
the lights for the climate control, steering wheel controls, small ambient lighting in the dome, hazard, and sport shift button all stopped working. I searched to see if anyone else had a problem like this and while there were some similar situations, my tail lights, brake lights, and parking lights still work.
Anyone have any ideas as to what this might be? Any help is greatly appreciated |
I'd first look at the fuse.
|
Which would it be?

The 10A ROOM LAMP would be my first guess. If that's not it, it's probably in the IPDM. OM and FSM will have more info.

If all appropriate fuses are good?
Look at the fuse box behind the battery. |

If you are certain all the applicable fuses and fusible links links are good, then wiring is the next place I'd check. I'd start with the connectors closest to the battery/fuse. FSM has wiring layouts and connector locations.
Edit: Since so many devices are affected, the wiring diagrams in the FSM should be able to narrow down the possibilities. |

I've had the same problem for a couple months. I asked the service department at my local dealership and they have no clue without me paying them to run diagnostics on it. It initially happened when I put an multimeter to the LED in the ambient light. Please let us know if you find a solution because it's driving me crazy.

And ******* up my back had nothing to with working on my car, It had more to do with moving a ******* stove by myself from the shed into the house |

I was just saying take it easy until your back is completely healed. Digging through car wiring is not taking it easy on your back. Good luck with your recovery. |

Figured it out. It's the white box underneath the head unit
|
Glad you got it figured out
Appliance dolly FTW. I picked up one on sale at Harbor Freight for $60 like 10 years ago. To this day, I swear it's one of the best purchases I've ever made lol. |

replacing that piece didn't do it. I'm sad now. Time to put up the French flag and surrender my car to the Nissan service center

IIRC, the gauge cluster is considered one unit with no serviceable parts. :(
But just about anyone familiar with cars wiring should be able to run power through a fuse to the lights. Finding a source that is powered at the proper times will be the hard part and that should be pretty easy with the FSM. :) |

I just ordered a cluster for $160 with 6-month warranty on it. The way I look at it, if it fixes it, great. If not, I have a cluster to practice changing the LEDs on

we do it all the time.. |
I'm still keeping tabs on this so please update us when the new cluster comes in.
