I see. Maybe the welds for the top ones could be on the inderside for a cleaner look.

That's not possible given the space constraints... The only way to get the look your going for would be to weld tabs on the bars and screw down the plates and then you will have lost the structural rigidity to the part. The end caps I can see but the welds on the top will have to be there... You just can't get a tig welder in that tight of a space... Even free handing you wouldn't be able to do it.

Bullitt is right... the top plates cannot be welded from below due to the distance between the tubes and the radius of those tubes. Now for those that want the end caps we can do that as an option but it would cost $50 to make the cap plates and weld them on. We can add them at that cost but it will need to be requested.

Just got done talking to RJ MFG. They are going to offer some nice plastic end caps for free and if someone wants welded end caps that will be optional.

shipped out our first sets of towers... they weigh less than 10lbs!!! factory is in the 15lb range...

We took user feed back and are now incorporating hand cut plugs for the bar ends. This will maintain a clean look for all strut brace owners.

Bumping this old *** thread. Has anyone used this with a stock intake manifold and more importantly stock Engine cover? I ordered this like late last year and actually just now was able to try to install it.. It seems the front half of the stock engine cover will not work with this without hacking it up like crazy..

OEM manifold should fit.. just apparently not with the OEM engine cover which is kind of stupid...

You're right, I ran into the same issue when fitting mine and it will not fit with the OEM cover.

This would seem to indicate that it's supposed to fit with the OEM engine cover. It sounds like it does not.

But I think cooltoy is right ... the brace was designed to work with the GTR manifold conversion.
