Harness to nowhere in hatch?

Was hooking up my rear view cam and came across this harness plug on the drivers side in the hatch under the black foam. I assume it is for an option that comes in something other than the base model, but does anyone know what it is?

Completely wild guess but probably for a Sirius or GPS module etc. they usually like to shove them in the corner somewhere.

Saw that in mine while working on exhaust.

Believe its for the European rear brake light

Not for the rear fog, I have a Canadian car and they come with it functional.

Perhaps the Bose sub amp, if the Base doesn't have one?

It's the unit to stop from melting the exhaust tips in excess of 900 degrees.

In that case I could've saved $40 and just melted on some of my kids crayons :)

Really? I didn't know that. I have a Canadian car and I never noticed whether the rear fog actually works or not. I need to check that out tonight. Is it supposed to turn on only when backing up?

Turn signal stalk. Outside is for your headlights obviously, but the ring just inside of the marker dot is for the rear fog. The one that has 'off' and the fog light symbol on it. When your headlights are on give it a twist. And indicator on your dash will light up then get up and go take a look out back.
