Engine Undercover

The engine undercover is missing on my 2010 Z370. The car runs fine and just passed state inspection by Nissan dealer. I'm looking for second opinion as to danger in running without it?????

It protects the oil pan, and provides support for the bumper. You should get one. The ZSpeed metal one is better than OEM.

If you want an OEM one, I have a non nismo one for sale with about 5k miles on it. Asking $75 plus shipping.

Toll Booth Willy also makes a nice one.

This thread title sounds like a bad speed network show about investigating unethical mechanics .

the oil pan + filter are right there, good idea for road debris protection.

No particular danger in running without it but, as others have mentioned, it does serve several purposes. Probably improves air flow under the car, too.

Access to drain plug and oil filter work well on both TBW and ZSpeed?

Thinking this might be my next purchase.

I think those metal shrouds are over rated. I'd just get a lightly used factory one from someone local.

:iagree:

metal /aluminum tends to bend-dent, the plastic is more forgiving and probably weighs less

Maybe more forgiving but a total pita when changing oil tbat you have to remove the entire cover compared to 2 screws in the Zspeed and you have access to drain plug and filter.
