Speedometer recalibration
 

Hey guys! Is it possible to DIY speedometer recalibration somehow? Mine is showing ~9% more speed than all of my gps devices.

Do you have aftermarket wheels?

I have stock 18s, i bought car 2nd hand ant it looks like it was originally sport package. Might have been with 19s from factory

What size tires are on it?

We are trying to see whether it is the wheels throwing your speedo off.

stock 18 wheels 225/50/18 front 245/45/18 rear advan sports

My speeedo has been 9% off since I purchased the car in 2009.

I have a $45 GPS speedo that projects onto the windscreen, runs off a mini USB charger.

Nissan is deliberately conservative with speed calibration and calibration is not owner modifiable that I have been able to discover

Ya, I use my Passport 9500ix if I want to know true speed.

Those are stock numbers, so it's not the wheels.

Mine has 26.6" diameter tires on rear & is slow about 3%,,, a 27" would put it on spot (27.2"-like a 345/30/19MPSS)

Ye i use waze and yav1 on 2 phones and both show that im going slower :D
