Probably a stupid question but did you make sure all the connections are still plugged in?

Also check to see if you have a blown fuse.

Since it will work in one direction only, that suggests a wiring problem to me. I'd start by checking the command switches and any limit switches. Wiring diagrams, description of operation, &c are in the FSM (link in my sig).

If it's moving one way then the seat is getting power
Could be a wire got pinched, cut or a loose connection, also the switch could be bad

just tested the motor and is still good, fuses are good triple cheecked all connections and seems good. im thinking it could be the switches. anyone know how to test if i need new switches or not?

If you feel comfortable doing it, remove the switches, get down to the board, spray contact cleaner (or pour denatured alcohol) in the switches, move the switches around, reassemble and see if it works. I did that to my dad's Maxima when it did something similar
