Glove Box Issue

1 Attachment(s)
Noticed the other day that my glove box is no longer flush. Tried pushing it back into place, but to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions other than taking area apart? Or am I screwed and have to put more work in than I actually want. :shakes head:

Looks like the box is sitting down there on the floor board. Does it still look off that much when the box is mounted and closed up?

Mine looks the same way from when it was brand new. Never had this problem on my roadster. I have a 14 touring now. Wonder what's causing it. In for suggestions.

Decided to replace the cabin filter today and in doing so fixed the glove box (hopefully permanently). The first pic shows the metal clips I was referring to earlier. They weren't broken after all, but did appear "flat".
I took some needle nose pliers and bent the sides out a bit, in order for it to hopefully grip more once they were in their slots.
When I reassembled the box I pushed it in by hand and then used a rubber mallet to ensure everything was truly secure.
The left side that was sticking out didn't sit well at all after reassembling, but with the rubber mallet, it went back in and appears to be staying.

Just used a regular STP brand I got at autozone. Wanted a fram one, but no one had the right size. I'll get a different one later.

Did the STP fit perfectly?
