Car keyed

Hello, my car was keyed recently the scratch is to deep to buff out i have to get repainted car is under all the warranties, will the dealerships do anything about? and if i get the door repainted will it match the car, because the doors paint will be more new but is only 8 months old thank you

Sorry to hear. Your warranty doesn't cover this. You either pay out of pocket or go thru your insurance, in which case you will likely pay the deductible and they cover the rest.

Go to a reputable body shop. They will be able to color match that area, won't even have to paint the entire door, most likely. Also, I'd probably just pay out of pocket and not involve my insurance company, as it will increase your premium if you make a claim. Now if it was the entire car, or keyed bumper to bumper on one side, then I would.

Just re-read my own post. Terrible grammar. Subjects not in agreement, etc. Sorry about that.

There is a reason why they invented the "." . Use them please. Most shops will want to paint adjacent panels when it comes to doors. What color car?

Sucks to hear that, haters are breeding, and we stuck with more asshats than ever. Any body shop will be able to fix it and it should look good as new. They may have to blend the door with the surrounding panels. Id want the whole door repainted so you dont see the area they "repaired" if you have a keen eye. You are likely looking at a number above your deductible so assume being out of pocket around 500 bucks.

Sorry to hear about this. Some people have no respect when it comes to others property. :shakes head:

Since yours is a new car with fresh paint, the shop should have no issues matching the color. Don't settle with anything less than perfect.

Yea i took it to a shop and they said 500 same as my deductable and they said i have to get the whole door for painted

Call your insurance, my sister had her car keyed and the insurance paid for everything , it didn't affect her record either

Sorry to hear that. People are just jealous bastards.

Get an estimate first. If it's somewhat close to what your deductible is, then pay out of pocket to avoid higher insurance premiums.

have you tried the touch-up paint?
