Voltmeter not working.

Hello all! I just recently bought my 09 6MT sport at auction and the voltmeter hasn't worked since I got the car. Anyone know how I can troubleshoot this? The clock and temp gauges in the tri-pod are working fine. I understand all three are connected to a PC board underneath the dash pad - don't want to go there! :icon14:
What and where is the connection in the engine bay that feeds the voltmeter?

BTW this is my 4th Z! :hello:

Your help and knowledge is greatly appreciated!

IIRC, the triple-gauge gets it's data (oil temp and volts) via the CAN bus. You can verify with the FSM (see link in my sig). If oil temp is working, the voltage readout is probably bad or there is a loose internal connection to that readout. There are some DIYs on this site about removing the triple-gauge.

I saw the post removing the dash and the one about removing them from the top but he's not worried about the factory connections since he was replacing with aftermarket. Is there a way to get at this by removing the center vent and cubby surround? I want to just replace that one OEM gauge if bad so would retain the connection to the pcb. I can rig reattaching it but want to retain the connector, pcb, etc.

check your fuse panel first and make sure nothing is blown, it may have had a battery installed incorrectly previously and fried something.
