Nismo spoiler

Help!!!

Just bought an after market Nismo spoiler for my newly acquired 2014 z. It looks great but I got no template. My local Nissan dealership will install it but they have to have the template. Do any of you guys have a Nismo spoiler template that you would sell me. I bought the spoiler at ikonmotorsports. They don't have a template. Thanks. Jack

Does your Z have a wing now?

I figure since the wing is not OEM, it might not have the same holes as OEM, so you should probably do this.

Try this:
Use the transfer technique. Use small zip ties. Secure the zip tie to the spoiler's mounting hole using a small amount of masking tape where tab end lands at the center of the hole. Repeat this process to the holes you want to use to bolt the spoiler. 4 is enough. Set your spoiler on the hatch checking for eveness and if centered. Better to have help holding the spoiler down. Transfer the zip ties onto the hatch by firmly holding the tie and taping it onto the hatch. Lift your spoiler off slowly. Get a sharpie to mark where the tab lands and that's your drill mark for your spoiler holes. .

I have searched for this post and gave up looking for it.....and here you go and dug it out from somewhere. CT is the master finder of things here in the forum.

Also a little different approach to the zip tie method might be - center the zip tie on the spoiler holes you wish to use (the tie half & half on each side of the hole) tape it fast. Then take a very small drill bit & drill a hole in the zip tie at the center of the hole. Then when removing the spoiler you can just drill through that small hole in the zip tie.

Just food for thought!

Drill slightly larger holes so there is room to move the wing around when tightening if needed. Use silicone or rubber washer to avoid leaks.
