Window now working help.
On the way home from the grocery store I rolled down the window to enjoy the nice cool air. When I got home and tried to roll up the window, it would not go up. GRR!!!!!
Thing's I tired not in exact order and in different combinations: 1: use passenger side switch 2:use driver side switch 3:unhook the batter to try and reset it 4:tried to reset with holding the button down for 5 sec, hold the button up for like 30 sec since it would not roll up 5:tried switching left control box with right and vice versa 6:check fuse in car (didn't find any labeled for window 7:check fuse under hood (found the big blue one that I think red 20,30,40), it looked good 8:open close door to see if it will roll up (nope) 9:tried both driver and passenger switch while door open 10:tried both driver and passenger switch with door open and me toggling the little door button by the latch I tested the motor to see if it will work on the driver side. YES!! it works. I can roll it up and down no problem. WTH!!! I'm not sure if it's the switch itself or what. I just know that things work on the driver side. The driver side switch does nothing when I try to lower or open the passenger window. Any Idea? This is crazy. YzGyz |
First thing I'd check is the fuse. If fuse is good, it's time to break out the VOM.

I checked the fuses. #6 above.
I got to fiddle with it some more and it friggin works again. wtf.. all i did was put it back together. ohh well. If it works it works. I think when I disconnected the window switch and let it sit for a while, it might of reset the switch? IDK.. It works now so ehh...What is a VOM? YzGyz |
You might of have hit the window lock switch and turned it back off.

Good one Trips. LOL.. maybe.. maybe but Even if the window locked, the motor did not even roll down when the door opened. Yes I know the window was already down but I didn't roll down when I unmounted the motor form the door either.
