My Install of AeroJacket DF1 Diffuser
Hey everyone. So I picked up this DF1 Diffuser way back when it initially came out and never got around to posting anything about it until now as I had a few kids come along and well you know, car just kinda sat there for a longggg time.
Anyway, I just wanted to give my little review of the Aerojacket DF1 Diffuser in carbon fiber. The part came super quick and was packaged very well. No issues with the part what so ever. The installation of it was really easy as well in my opinion. I didnt have to mess with it too much in order to get a good fitment. All the pre-drilled holes matched up to existing body underneath the car as well so it was easy to figure out where to drill the holes. I ended up using longer bolts and nuts with washers to make sure that this thing was not going to come off ever and it seemed to work out really well along with 3M double sided tape. There were already pre-drilled holes where you see screws on the back side above the exhaust tailpipes to get it to form to the car properly, so the only thing left for me to do is to black out those screws and it will be done. I even have the Motordyne 5" exhaust tips on and there is still plenty of room. Overall I am really happy with how this turned out. I also had bought carbon fiber rear spats from them thinking i was going to be able to put all the pieces on. I ended up not using the rear spats as I thought it didn't completely look as one flush piece. http://www.the370z.com/members/pbhak...diffuser-1.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/pbhak...diffuser-2.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/pbhak...diffuser-3.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/pbhak...1-diffuser.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/pbhak...diffuser-5.jpg |

Love that diffuser! Got one myself. I do notice that you left the 4th brake light behind the diffuser instead of moving it out to where the diffuser's pre-molded slot, I'm not sure if that was intentional or not but if you can I highly recommend moving the brake light out and have it sit flush with the diffuser for a super clean look. But all and all that diffuser is beautiful, especially in the sun lol

Looks good! When do the KC people get to see it in person?

I have no idea what the next event will be, actually I have no idea when any event will be. I know there is a Cars and Coffee on Feb 27 or 28 but I am not sure if I can make that one.

Looks super!

i would use some hard black felt or something to close the gap between the bumper and the spat. otherwise with the blades (sides) should look very good.

Looks Sharp!

Hey quick question, I have the one that cuts off instead of going under the car, the spot where the rear light goes, are we supposed to remove the light and place over it or what? I feel like it looks odd squaring it off.

Assuming you have a diffuser that just goes over the rear valance only like the EVO-R diffuser, for example? On mine I ended up putting the reflector piece onto the diffuser itself. I dont have any pictures of this yet but I just recently did that work to complete it. I cant speak for other diffusers as I have not seen them in person to say if you need to do that or not. But I know there are alot of threads on other diffusers on how to install them if you poke around the forum. EDIT: Saw your other thread so I am editing my post... If you have the aerojacket diffuser then yes there will be a gap if you dont move the reflector piece up on top of the diffuser. It didnt bother me much, but i finally got another reflector piece from a buddy who swapped out for an actual light and cut it out to fit on top of my diffuser. |
this looks amazing i may sell my fujimura diffuser and get this one :)

Got a few updated pictures where I have added the "brake light reflector" on top of the diffuser for a more original look.

Looks great with CF trim all the way around the car. Hopefully when my car comes down after my last part install I can take some nice shots of everything. http://www.the370z.com/members/pbhak...ide-blades.jpg |
