370z Duraflex body kits

Shopping around for body kits for my 09 370z. Does any one have any experiences/thoughts/suggestions on Duraflex brand body kits? Prices are pretty cheap but I've always been a firm believer that you get what you pay for. Just curious if these kits are junk or actually good kits to use.

Duraflex = junk..

I would stay away from anything duraflex.. What body kit are you looking for? Shine auto makes amazing quality body kits.

Yeah I kind of figured they would be junk.. It's my first Z and I've had nothing but Chevy trucks before it so I'm a little out of my realm when it comes to searching for parts.. But I'm looking for a kit that will change the look slightly but still has the OEM look to it. Not wanting anything super crazy

Cooltoy just decides to always go above and beyond haha :tup: But yeah duraflex body kits are crap.

Fly 1 Motorsports: Home

Bulletproof Automotive: https://www.bulletproofautomotive.com/

Look at those two sources and narrow down the filter. You will see some real prices on Body Kits.

I purchased duraflex side skirts a long time ago. After receiving them and fitting them on the car, come to find out they are just overlays you double sided sticky to your actual factory side skirts. they didn't look right and after going back and forth with duraflex they had me destroy them for my money back.

Wow.. I knew they were bad but I didn't know they were that bad... Damn

cooltoy 01-23-2016 08:39 PM

That is correct, the Amuse style skirts are not a replacement by glue over the stock skirts.

Duraflex is OK, but the money saved will be spent in body shop during the extra fitting and work it would require to make it fit properly. Plus they are not exact replicas and have some visual differences from the authentic kit. A member wheee has the Duraflex Amuse copy and has journaled his install and opinion.

The replicas mentioned above (shine and Fly1) are exact replicas.

I would stay away from shine products also as they are just as crappy. I had rear add on skirts for my 350z and they fit like crap. I now have their rear skirt on my 370z now and also fit horrible had to make it fit by cutting and sanding it down but still sticks out. Currently look for a new rear bumper cause of their crappy product.

Amuse rep from them is supposed to be good. At least I hope so.

I had their full V2 kit for my 350Z. Fitment was a solid 8.5/10. Nothing will fit perfect.
Hell, my stock NISMO body is probably only a 9-9.2/10. :icon17:
