My Z won't start!

Hey guys as the title says, I was in the middle of a interior led light strip install passing under the feet of the cab.

I used the fuse box to the left of the clutch as a power source there's only so many blank spaces and I thought I used a space that had a place for a 10a fuse. Would this cause some kind of short on the whole car? It drained my battery, got a brand new one and it started on the first try, it hit me as soon as I went to turn it off that I should have just left the car running to recharge the alternator but could that have caused the alternator to go bad?

I immediately pulled out the light with the fuse connector, all I was trying to do is test that it would light before I made the install permanent I didn't plug it it longer than a few seconds... I post where plugged into on the fuse box if it matters. Help, already $200 in for the new battery and afraid they aren't going to be any help since when I bought the battery they didn't hand me a receipt since it was closing time we were both trying to get out.

im not sure whats going on over there, but put it back to stock, charge your battery and see if it starts.

then try another switched 10A fuse to use while using an add-a-circuit. im a little curious as to why u used the blanks not knowing wat it was hooked up to?

in fact, if it's just for lighting why not just tap into the power socket in the passenger side? you can completely remove that thing as needed and use as power source. i have an led strip under the seat feeding power from there, rocker switch in one of the 3 blanks center console... it also powers my rear fog also populating one of the 3 blanks. the last blank is the ebrake sw for HU.

I'll look into the add a circuit after I pull the positive connector to the battery, not familiar with that, going to change out the lead connector and make sure the fuses aren't blown. As for the battery charge, I'll bring the battery in with me to auto parts

And yeah I should have taken the time to make sure wasn't going to do anything. I thought it would have just been a power source, on the cover of the fuse diagram it only shows blank squares where I connected to

I like the idea and I'll definitely do that as I wanted to do something like that but couldn't find the right sources

Taking the new battery in to get charged and buy new leads, any other ideas?

The battery still had 85% charge and said it was good, I guess I'll remove the alternator next to see if it went bad when I plugged in that fuse for the lights.

For the record if anyone finds themselves in this situation, check your terminals (obvious answer)
It was the positive link just needed to be replaced was really corroded. The guy at Nissan said that spot in the fuse box should have been fine and it was just a coincidence.
