So this thing does look gorgeous, can anyone explain why this is such a big deal though? I'm a bit lost. Thanks guys!

From what I've read, it feels REALLY good in your hands when you're stroking.. eh.. uh.. the knob..

Putting the price aside (which is crazy high in my opinion) and just focusing on the knob itself, the shape is one of the best feeling shift knobs shapes I have ever felt. The top round portion is perfect for shifting into 1st, 3rd and 5th, while the ridges allow you to grab with your fingers tips to pull back into second and fourth.

^you must get tired of answering the same question so many times lol

I am used to it. I did that as part of my job all the time.

I read somewhere someone recommend we clearcoat it to prevent discoloration of the turtle..?

Just try to keep it out of direct sunlight.

Mine just arrived. There is a slight difference I noticed between this one and the original. The turtle on the new one is a lot more recessed than the original knob.

dang! you have 2 of those??

the shift knob feels smaller than the oem leather knob, shifting feels pretty good to me maybe because of the added weight

That's probably better. Keeps it more out of harms way.

IMO, the shape feels good when you grab it and the weight of the knob helps the strokes, err throws, of the stick. :driving:

FairladyZ10PG 11-24-2015 05:39 PM

I compared the weight of the TK and my previous PWJDM one.
I couldn't tell the difference by hand and the throw is almost the same except TK feels a bit shorter than PWJDM.
Performance is comparable but the craftsmanship, design, feel, and the red turtle makes up for the $200+ price difference
