center console compatability

I have a 2009 370Z with navigation. Will the large center console plastic piece that goes between the seats that also has the gear shifter and e-brake sticking through it from a 2012 370Z without navigation work as a replacement for my scratched up console in the car now?

If nobody comes up with an answer, check CourtesyParts.com (or one of the other online Nissan parts stores). They have a good catalog that is reasonably easy to search. If the part numbers match, you're good to go.

It looks like there are different part numbers for navigation and non nav center consoles, but any idea what the difference is? Is the plastic shell the exact same and maybe a wiring harness etc slightly different?

I have no idea. The FSM might have that info.

Unless there is stitching on the center console assembly (I don't believe there is), then I'm going to guess they are the same. But I don't know for sure.

The FSM certainly doesn't refer to anything being different other than the Nismo has real leather shift knob and red stitching on the knee pads, shift boot, and cubby lid (which you don't have because you have nav).

worst case can you spray it with sem interior paint?

Could the difference be the openings in the storage compartment for the A/V lines?

That part could probably be reused from the original.

ya that's what I was kind of thinking I could do about switching any bolt on parts from my original onto the plastic shell of this newer model, and was thinking maybe just an output on the inside on the arm rest could be differnet but thought that inner arm rest might also be sold as a seperate part. Doesn't make sense to me how the plastic shell could be different between nav n non nav models since this part sits between the seats and has nothing to do with the dashboard bezel area.

I noticed a couple of these "used" for sale on ebay today. Not sure of their condition.
