Invidia gemini looks

So I already made my mind in getting the Invidia gemini exhaust. Just trying to decide which tip looks better. Chrome or burned tip. Also how big are the tips compared to the stock ones. Anyone??

1st 07-21-2015 04:32 PM

Chrome or burned tip………Preference. Hard to say what you like?

kynseon 07-21-2015 04:39 PM

I like both. Just trying to decide what looks best with solid red. Do you know how much bigger are the tips?

Zbrah 07-21-2015 04:53 PM

Make sure you're choosing the 5" GT-r tips, the ones that come standard are small. Only 3.5" iirc.

This might Help.

burnt tip the bluish color? if so, id get the standard chrome if red.

if that was on a white or silver, the bluish tips work..but id still get the chrome. lol

kynseon 07-21-2015 06:02 PM

Yeah the bluish tips. Yeah i am leaning now more towards chrome. I didnt know they sold bigger tips

kenchan 07-21-2015 06:25 PM

yah, chrome would be nicer and larger tips will make it fill the exhaust cut-out arches nicely.

tonyl001 07-21-2015 08:26 PM

I just got the Invidia exhaust with the burnt rolled tips. It looks great and I also have a red 370z. I'm so happy with the sound of this exhaust and the looks. At first I didn't think the burnt tips were not going to look good but once I installed it I was happy I went this route. The tips stand out in a good way.

kynseon 07-21-2015 09:57 PM

Is there anyway that you can share some pics?

tonyl001 07-21-2015 10:10 PM

I don't have any pics on my phone but I'll take some tomorrow and post them. But I do have this screen shoot I took from the Facebook page of the shop that installed my exhaust. It's on the lift but Ill post some tomorrow so you can see how it actually looks.

Chrome

bbs370z 07-22-2015 02:37 AM

I got burnt tips on my pw. Love the pipe but a couple short comings though. My kit didn't provide me with enough gaskets so I had to find a shop to buy two more. Also in two spots they just spot welded and it's leaking soot where everywhere else is welded properly. I noticed the following time on the hoist. Probably just my luck but it s**t happens.

Hopefuly that doesnt happen to me. I really like invidia and i think they are the best bang for the buck.

That burn tips look really nice on red. You can post it whenever you can.

bbs370z 07-22-2015 05:47 AM

Yeah hope you're exhaust is put together properly. Just check before installing and you should be good. Are you going to run hfc or test pipes? Might be a good option if you want something a bit louder.

kynseon 07-22-2015 06:04 AM

I am currently running motordyne art pipes. What are you running? I really like the motordyne art pipes they give a nice growl and i can feel the gain. I am hoping that the invidias give the finishing touch. Can you send me a picture of your exhaust setup

bbs370z 07-22-2015 06:13 AM

Sorry don't have pics right now. I'm running it on stock cats because wasn't sure how it would have sounded. Definitely deeper and nicer than stock but not necessarily louder to be honest. I'm still the quietest one when out cruising with other z's lol. Invidia makes a hfc so thinking of going that route.

tonyl001 07-22-2015 08:29 AM

Here are some pics of the burnt tips on the red. Sorry for poor quality of pics but my camera is kind of messed up

kenchan 07-22-2015 09:36 AM

datll tame things down while spicing it up.

kynseon 07-22-2015 10:12 AM

Whats the cf fujimura? Yeah i like the burned tips but probably will get the chrome tips . But trying to get bigger tips to fill the gaps.

USAussie 07-22-2015 11:11 AM

I've got burnt tips on my red z and always get compliments on the exhaust tips. Go with what you like best but the burnt ones look great.

lgarcia 07-22-2015 09:31 PM

Anyone know where to buy this Invidia exhaust with the GTR 5" Ti rolled tips?
I've not had any luck finding this option....

kynseon 07-22-2015 09:58 PM

Yeah me neither ive been looking around. If someone know let me knoww.

kynseon 07-24-2015 08:06 AM

Do they come with adjustable tips??

tonyl001 07-24-2015 08:22 AM

Yes, they come with the adjustable tips. When you get them installed, make sure they are fully torqued because they can loosen up. But don't over torqued it. After driving about an hour, just double check they are still tight.

kynseon 07-24-2015 08:41 AM

Cool idk why i read in other posts that it wasnt adjustable and people were complaining about the tips sticking too far out

tonyl001 07-24-2015 10:27 AM

Mabe it depends on the type of tips they get. Mine were the titanium rolled burnt tips and they were adjustable. I say just call before you order them to be on the safe side.

;)

kynseon 07-24-2015 02:11 PM

Damn that looks really good with that diffuser. Well ive been asking the sponsors but they just say that they are not adjustable so i an getting two sides of the story.

tonyl001 07-24-2015 06:14 PM

They are adjustable. I just got mine put on last week. Here is a pic of the clamp that goes around the tip.

http://www.the370z.com/members/tonyl...0724-190752.jp

kenchan 07-24-2015 07:13 PM

if you have room, i'd turn that clamp another 90 degrees counter clockwise so that u can't see it from low angle like cars behind you. (ur second pict u can see the clamp)

kynseon 07-24-2015 07:15 PM

Thanks for the awesome pic. Yeah thats definitely what I want then. So thats the rolled tips?
