Getting used to the door

The door handle on the Z feels a bit flimsy.
It is smoother when I pull with 4 fingers under it and push above it with my thumb.
Since there is no window frame to grab like my past cars, my tendency is pull on the trim above it to swing the door open all the way.

Getting out, I try to put my left palm on the bottom door jam where the VIN sticker is instead of grabbing the door to help get out.
I don't want to swivel my butt on the cushion too much to reduce wear.
Then closing the door I seem push that same black trim.

I'm concerned over time I will break this trim off.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, this parts can be cheaply replaced just don't put too much force on it.

I would be careful how you place your hand on that rubber trim, especially near the sharp edges. I've cut my hand pretty on there a while ago and it wasn't pretty.
