Xpell ultimate carries a 10 year warranty against, yellowing, cracking, peeling, staining, and hazing, and reimburses both film and labor in the unlikely event of a failure.

"How is care of XPEL ULTIMATE different than other films?"

XPEL ULTIMATE Paint Protection Film requires less maintenance than any other brand of film on the market. Our general care instructions are:
  • Wait 48 hours after installation to wash your car
  • Remove insect or other stains with bug and tar remover
  • Stubborn stains can be removed with 99% isopropyl alcohol or lacquer thinner. Take care to keep these chemicals off the vehicle’s paint
  • Seal with XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant at least once every 3 months to preserve high gloss
  • Light scratches in the film will self-heal in 20-30 minutes at room temperature. In colder conditions, or to accelerate the process, pour warm water (120°F) over the affected area

"Can I wax the film when I wax the rest of the car?"

Unlike most paint protection films on the market, XPEL ULTIMATE Paint Protection film can be waxed and sealed just like your paint. Though XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant is still the preferred product, Any automotive wax or sealant may be used.

Interesting. My installer said to use Car Pro 'Reload'. Technically it was developed to put over C Quartz, but he said to do the whole car with it very now and then. I'll look for the XPEL stuff.

I'll get some of the Xpel stuff too. My installer was real low key when it comes to pushing his product; he had the Flawless finish material right on the shelf and told me about Maguire's liquid wax at Walmart instead. I'd prefer to have the 3M just to keep it all in the same family of product.

For everyone considering using blue painters tape, we actually sell a product called TracWrap. Its 9 mil thick, where as blue painters tape is usually 1-2 mil thick. I don't know if you'd be able to get your hands on it before your installation, but its a great temporary product.

TracWrap is a temporary, clear film that protects your vehicles paint while driving to a car show, at a track event, in tow, and more. Using an air channel adhesive the user can install this product wet, dry, in the wind, and on the spot. Its a great alternative to blue painters tape, and much thicker, plus not to mention less visible. TracWrap is made with a special adhesive so you can pull it off without leaving bits of plastic or glue behind.

I just bought some of this for my first track day , can't wait to try it out.

on another note. do you have any custom rolls? i want to do the entire hood of my 2014 dodge viper but do not want seams. dirt catchers is what i call them. anyway to get a roll that will cover that much area without the need for seams?

Should be good, they have massive rolls of xpel

Zcup 07-16-2015 09:16 PM

I put Xpel Ultimate on my car. The car is red. I did the front bumper, 1/3 of the hood and fenders, the A-pillars, 1/3 of the top and the lower front area of the quarter panels. Basically, all the high impact surfaces. Yes, there is a line on hood and roof, but I challenge anyone to find it from six feet away. It's nice to be able to scrub the bug guts off my bumper and front of hood without worrying about jacking up the paint. If you're a paint freak like me, it's essential, and spend the extra money to get the good stuff. If I was doing it over again, I would do the entire hood though.
