Hi All,

Since I got my '09 sport package in Feb of '14, I had wanted to do black housing headlights. I wanted an OEM look. As you might know, 99% of OEM black housing headlights are gloss black, so matte black to me looks too aftermarket. I worked with OneEighty in Brooklyn, NY to make a '15 Nismo copy. The finish of the gloss black is flawless. I would highly recommend their work.

To add a personal touch to it, I had TheRetroFit Source etching the honeycomb design from the Subaru BRZ STi concept car onto my STI-R clear lenses. I love the finished product. I installed them yesterday.

I need to get better pictures, but I am thrilled with the outcome.

Looks awesome and that honeycomb design is a really cool touch. I don't understand why these cars didn't come with black housing headlights from the factory it makes such a huge difference in the look of the car.

Looks cool, definitely need more pics of the honeycomb.

I'll definitely get some more pictures soon. I haven't seen them at night yet. Looking forward to it.

Nice touch! I've never seen the honey comb etching before. Retrofitting my headlights this weekend.

The whole etching thing is relatively new this year.

The BRZ STi concept car has the honeycomb etching and I liked it a lot. TRS will etch just about anything you can think of onto your lenses for $80.

The etching does not interfere w the light pattern, cutoff or projection etc.

It's been around for more than a couple years at least.

If you don't mind, could you PM me the cost of this set up? As in total combined cost of TRS + 180?

could you PM me the cost of this set up as well?

I'm really just interested in the projectors and the etchings, but I'd take a PM containing all service expenses as well. Thanks!

Clear projectors from TRS are $45

Their etching service for most designs is $80.

The etching does not effect the light output.
