Need opinion! Gt or Nismo wing ?

So I need an honest opinion from your enthusiasts! GT Wing or Nismo wing? I know the Nismo wing will perform better but I want the better looking. Everybody so far is telling me the GT but I'm open to more opinions. I have a $850 certificate for extreme dimension so I'm not paying for it anyways, so don't judge on price!
Here's the links.

Nismo (a real one or Seibon, not one made by ED)

It's by carbon creation. Is it not a good brand?

cooltoy 06-12-2015 11:45 PM

Carbon creations is an ED company. And there have been some fitment/quality issues with ED. But also some good feedback as well. Do a search here and on the web about ED.

But if you are getting it for free, you probably will not mind a little extra cost at the body shop.

cooltoy 06-12-2015 11:49 PM

I decided to stay away from what I read.

Exhaust 06-12-2015 11:49 PM

In all honesty bro, nismo is more subtle and functional (debatable?). When I see wings like the GT on the street especially on a DD I judge though I shouldn't. If you aren't pushing GT kind of power you don't need GT kind of style.

Respectable

If your going to go GT style get APR GTC-300. It's proven and functional it is also adjustable.

NISMO. I think I may have seen the other one on a Civic.:roflpuke2:

Leroydsouza 06-13-2015 11:55 PM

Nismo.
I dont think the GT flows well with the car, But that is my opinion.

What looks better?

bullitt5897 06-14-2015 08:32 AM

In regards to the ED gt wing... Does ED provide flow data for it? No... Will it look like a cheap ebay wing that belongs on a civic... Yes.

ED products from my first hand experience are garbage and you will spend more money fixing the issues than the total cost of the product...

Price is apparently driving you. So I will say this: wait a few more months and save an additional hundred dollars or so and buy a different brand! You will thank us after the fact!!!

Nismo easily looks better to me. The GT seems just umm out of place.

Also i agree, Buy a quality product. I understand you are getting it for free, So go ahead and get it. But dont spend more money on it when you run into fitment issues.

I only say no to this because I talked with Tony for like 30 minutes on it. What it comes down to is everything you have installed and power. For me I just don't have to power for this wing. You need to be 400+. The GT-250 is more for us and why I went with it. It's way more functional without kill aero with drag.

I love the look too.

That looks like eBay box of Trix. Sorry. Zero function too.

You know what. You're right. I think the price of the GT is what got to me. I felt like because it's more expensive it has to be better in a way

moody_i 06-14-2015 09:29 AM

From everyone's perspective, I'm convinced the nismo wing is my destiny. Thanks for your opinion!

Waiz 06-14-2015 12:05 PM

That GT wing from ED is awful, get a real NISMO one instead

highrise955 06-14-2015 04:48 PM

I just had this one installed on my 2015 base...

T5i® - Nissan 370Z 2015 Factory Style Flush Mount Rear Spoiler

I have got nothing but compliments and the fit is perfect. The color matching I got, Gunmetal Metallic (KAD) was spot on.

SilverValk01 06-15-2015 09:44 PM

moody i got the "N-2" spoiler a month or so ago. i havent installed it yet to show install pics but it did require a good amount of sanding. the edges aren't even nor very smooth... not consistent is a good word to use here i guess. if you go with that one and don't know much about body work i would consider either having a shop install or going a different route.

For $100 more you could have had the real Nismo wing.

But it does look like a good option, since it is already painted and not made by ED.

Plus its easier to sell down the road if it's legit Nismo

carlitos_370z 06-16-2015 07:09 AM

ok! my opinion... I love both! both looks great... but if the GT wing is the same that you post in the link... i preferred the Nismo... I dont like that GT wing hahaha! If was an APR, Ings+1, etc i will choose that way... Soo my vote is for the Nismo

KMO-II 06-16-2015 08:05 AM

def NISMO wing. Easier on the eyes in my opinion. But if it were a track car more than a DD, the GT wing would look better in that arena , as it is a more aggressive look.

Watch the Classified section. We had a whole whack of them a few month ago, but normally it is a rare item.

cooltoy 06-18-2015 08:02 PM

Here is one. Not your colour unfortunately, but you should be able to get him down to around $700. Depends on your negotiation skills.

Get the 2015 nismo wing if you're looking for performance, nissan claims it produces more down force than previous wings. But imo the right GT wing is still siiick...was debating to put one on too
