Would you tint a 2015 Nismo with those bad azz Recaros?

As the title says. I'm worried about tinting because I really like to see the seats as I walk up to the car. They look amazing.

What do you guys think?

DPE G 03-02-2015 06:06 PM

I did, FL Heat is hell with no tint, as well as it will help with fading. Real Suede is horrible about fading, not sure about Alcantara. If you want to see the seats hold the unlock button and it will roll down the windows, problem solved.

Yes! & :iagree:

kenchan 03-02-2015 06:56 PM

hahaha... yah, i could see that dilemma. but if that's a dd, probably better to tint it to save the interior from uv. especially down south.

Spooler 03-02-2015 07:33 PM

NO tint down here and you die in the summer.

CoralZ 03-02-2015 07:42 PM

Very true guys. I completely understand about the heat and UV. I momentarily forgot about the heat with our two day winter we had in South Florida. Haha. The UV thing is true as well. I should know better with a white interior on my Volvo.

Spooler 03-03-2015 11:29 AM

All my windows are tinted, event the whole front, 70% on it with a 5% strip at the top.

Woops, I forgot, I got this one tinted with 70% on the Front, not 55%. 55% caused visiability issues in heavy
rain and very dark roads with my last car, 2008 Nissan Maxima.

FLUJOKE 03-03-2015 10:11 PM

I vote tint

Tint is required on all vehicles I own in Texas. Too damn hot in the summer here not to. Tint your windows!!

CoralZ 03-04-2015 10:48 PM

I hear everybody and I will probably tint but those Recaros are insane looking!! They also feel great and I'm a guy with a bad back. Haha

Zipper 104 03-06-2015 08:15 PM

Not an issue here...

I recall any tint on what would be the power windows on my Z are illegal here.
On a four-door sedan you can do the rears, but not the fronts. Not that it isn't done though, but not me. I don't need the heat from po po if I were to run into a jerk.

If you lived anywhere but Florida...no tint. Dude the freakin heat as you know is insane in the summer. The tint just makes sense.

Have you ever been to Texas?

Yup, tint makes sense for sure, but like Florida has exclusivity on heat? I think a few people in say, AZ, TX, SoCal, or just about anywhere else on half the planet in the summer would have something to say otherwise. Kids die in un-tinted cars even up here in the summer all the time if they aren't parked in their igloo garages.

I tinted mine at 5% with these bad boys in there:

People can get the teaser through the windshield, or I'll crack the windows 6" or so at car shows. Have the best of both worlds.

Nice!!!!

Ooooppppss forgot bout Texas even worse :shakes head:

CoralZ 03-07-2015 07:29 AM

True. The seats are going to have to be appreciated through the windshield. I'll probably go 40% tint though. Maybe 30%.

Thanks for all the input everyone.
