Fender Body Panels
 

I believe the hood, hatch, and doors are made from aluminum. The front and back bumper is plastic. What are the fenders made from?

I know it might be a stupid question but I need to know. I'm getting body work done and I'm having them throw away the front bumper as the damaged plastic is no good to me. The hood is damaged but i plan to scrap it and make a few bucks. I was wondering if the fender is valuable at all? Anyone know if it's aluminum or what kind of metal?

ask them to put a magnet on your fender and see if it sticks...

so is it aluminum or steel? its oem, im just trying to see how much the scrap yard would give me depending on what its made of. i dont have much space so id rather leave it at the shop if its not going to net me much $.

its metal man... like regular metal.. dont scrap it... its such a waste of fenders.. just have them as a spare.. or sell em off ebay... scraping them is only worth sooo little compared to there true value.. :tup:

The fender is all banged up. It's no good so my options are to scrap or let the bodyshop keep it.

If you took that fender and scrapped it. You'd get a few bucks. Maybe enough to get a meal at mcdonalds. A regular meal...

But if you win the mcdonalds monopoly you'd be glad you scrapped your fender!
