Question on floor mats.

Hey guys I am looking to replace my floor mats in my 370z. I was wondering what does the standard Fairlady Z floor mats look like in japan. Also where could i try to order the Japanese version? Thank you all for your help on this. Google has not been my friend on finding pictures of floor mats.

I doubt we have any members from Japan here. We would only know about North American mats.

My guess the only difference would be that the mats are reversed due to the obvious reasons.

If you want OEM mats, probably the best place to order new mats would be your local dealership.

Isn't there an Australian 370Z forum? Maybe you could ask there.

Go Weathertech!

Not sure how much WeatherTech is in Oz, but the mats are very much worth it if you can get them in RHD.

PS GO HAWKS!

LOL. I thought west Melbourne was in Australia.:bowrofl:

Disregard what I said. Why would you want JDM mats?

likewise I thought you were in Oz. But seeing your username GO HAWKS still works

I went weathertech and never looked back. A lot better than the OEM ones that started tearing up within 30k mi. And they're a good bit cheaper.

Japanese (right hand drive) mats will be unsafe around your pedals.

+1 on the Weathertechs. The best part is that you no longer have to worry about what you are tracking in to your car. Plus they look good IMO.

As far as wanting the Japanese oem I wanted to know what they look like. Also i figured it might make my car just a tad bit different. I have been thinking of the weather techs. I am assuming they should hold up the best and not tear like the carpet around the rings. I do have a odd question how does the weather techs feel on bare feet?

Get these. :tiphat:

They'd be different alright, cause you would have to put them in upside down in order to use them on a North American Z.

I drive in bare feet a lot and like the weathertechs fine. The carpet ends up chafing my heels actually. When the mats first get shipped they do have a greasy coating on them which is very slippery at first but it wears off quickly. Hit it with some Meguiars interior spray and it's back to slick and glossy if you want.

You are welcome to drive to NC and step on my floor mats in bare feet if you would like.

Strangely enough, I know the answer to this question. If they are clean they feel good, pretty much like you'd expect a medium hardness rubber/plastic to feel. If they are dirty then you feel all the grit on the bottom of your feet (i.e. the dirt/debris has no place to hide). The good part is, if you need 'em clean, you can just pull it out and give it a couple of good shakes and you are back to good.

If you are thinking about the moment when you come off the beach or something like that, then I'd say the peace of mind you'll get from knowing that sand isn't working it's way down in to the fibers of your mats and more importantly the carpet underneath will outweigh any concern for the fact that you have a little sand stuck to the bottom of your foot.

has anyone order any floor mats from the zstore? i kinda of like the fair lady ones. toss up now between the weather tech and those.
