lol Its ok i don't mind. We really do have what they call MANUFACTURER ASSISTED PRICING. I know of a few dealers that lost accounts with companies because they were advertising lower than what they should. I don't mind explaining situations like this so the consumers understand why i always post "pm me for best prices"

Looks might be similar but a lot of different aspects of an intake can actually make a difference in gains such as tube size and length, venturi/velocity stack design, filter size and flow measurements. I don't know the details of the long tubes but one thing i know for sure is they are still using oiled filters and so does JWT. Takeda pro dry filters are non oiled and open to debate, some swears that they are better. I know for sure that the dry filters are easier to clean and it takes less amount of time to dry than the oiled ones

Personally i just wished they made heat shields like they did for the 350z. Maybe i can convince them to make it as an option:tup:

Pro Dry AFE Filters are amazing. I installed one in my 2008 Trail Blazer SS instead of the K&N. I was very skeptical about its performance over the K&N, since the K&N has always been my go to filter. The AFE Filters performs great; it really wakes up the LS2 6.0. Best part about them is the cleaning. I installed it about 20,000 miles ago so I thought it would be good time to clean it. All you have to do is take out the filter and squirt the filter from the inside out with a water hose and let air dry. I know they say do it at least every 50,000 but that thing was filthy after 20,000. You can get it 100% clean, and since it is so easy to do I plan on doing it every 10,000 (After seeing how dirty it was at 20,000 miles).

I am really thinking about installing this Takeda intake on my 370z, my only concern is heat. We already know this engine gets hot. I hit 240 F oil temps daily now that it is mid July in Texas (Outside temps 101F), not sure what the temp is in the engine bay where these puppies would be installed.

Also how long does it take to install. I am contemplating putting the stock unit back in for oil changes and warranty work. I don’t want to void my warranty, the wife made me get the extended 5yr 100,000 mile.

Props to the wife on a good call, its always great to have an extended warranty especially for "Sprited Enthusiast Drivers" :icon18::icon18:

Heat should not be much of an issue there is a constant flow of air going into the engine bay as you drive so heat soak itself will not be obvious. The only time you might get some heat soak is during extended hard driving and i mean road racing scenarios, other than that you should be fine. Installation doesnt take very long its pretty straight forward. If you guys need any more info on this intake system just drop me or Lou and PM and we'll take care of it for you guys, Thanks again for all the interest!
