For customers wondering what the "Wrinkle" finish is. The best example I can give you is the engine/valve covers on either a:

Honda S2000 (valve cover)
Dodge Viper (Upper Intake Plenum)
Ferrari (most; Upper Intake Plenums)

It is a textured finish that adds a nice level of detail to any part coated. It is a semi-gloss finish available in four colors standard.

Again, a great way to further customize the engine bay of your 370z!!

Nice

370Z JT 11-17-2010 02:19 AM

cool. do you retain the stillen decals after the powdercoating?

Dustin@Z1 11-18-2010 09:37 AM

Unfortunately not. The decal is generally destroyed when removing it from the pipes in the prep stages before powder coating. Plus, due to the texture coat of the wrinkle finish, a decal would be nearly impossible to apply.

If you chose the gloss finish, you could in fact lay a decal on it with no problem.

Nice options Z1! You should consider offering a dry flow filter also ;)

Everyone, I wanted to update you on a recent development. As of today, we are now offering th Stillen Gen III Intakes with a RAE Monterrey Blue Powder Coat (available only in Gloss at this time). We have sourced a blue that is EXTREMELY close to the factory paint code and have verified the shade on multiple Monterrey Blue cars.

Like all other Gen I, II and III Powder Coated Intakes, this color is only available via special order. I have one intake in stock with the RAE Blue finish now and is ready to ship!

Hey John,

I know I want to get a set of red intakes, but I'd really like to see how the gloss red comes out before choosing the finish. Do you have any examples?

I don't have a picture of the actual intake, but this is the standard shade of red

Its hard to tell in the pics, but that one has just a tiny bit more shade of orange to it.
you could also ask for this more pure red, just refer to it as victory red

If there is another type of red you might be interested in, just ask me and I will tell you what color to order from them. (I do the coating)
