Good OBD-II for Dash Command

Hey guys, I have been searching the forums, but I haven't come across a clear thread really for this. I am looking for a good OBD-II that I can use with my iPhone currently until I install my in dash iPad mini. I am not really sure what the difference is between bluetooth or wifi here, but if you guys have input please let me know. Also if you guys are using something different/better all the info helps. Thanks!

Bluetooth vs Wi-Fi - Difference and Comparison | Diffen

Bluetooth is all you need, you do not need the the extras wifi has to offer.

I use the OBDLink MX Bluetooth. It works good for me but is pricier than the average reader.

Bluetooth ftw. Its much faster. I have the elm with a nexus 7 and torque pro. I dont think there is a faster combo since mine seems instantaneous.

Do you have to open the app every time you start the car?

ok guys, i was about to order the bluetooth plx kiwi 2, but it says it is only for android. Any feedback on that? the wifi version is showing that it is for iPhones, but the torque app won't be compatible, only dash command and rev.

Nope. There is an option to remain on and or open and run upon startup

From what I know Bluetooth is not supported on iOS. At least not for these obd2 readers. Also anyone know of a Bluetooth obd2 reader that I could run on my android that can also read abs/tpms? I'd like to be able read all the codes my car could throw at me through my phone.

It isn't from what I have read. I ordered the elm 327 wifi version. I also downloaded torque and dash commander and have been putting the car specs in.

Okay, so is it the reader itself that cannot pick up those special codes or the program? Because I feel like it should just be a software issue. Maybe another app? I'd really like to be able to diagnose the little things before they turn into a check engine light.
