Yeah I'll post an update i guess after a few months. Winter is around the corner, not that it gets terribly cold here in SoCal.

I didn't want to chance that one; 5yrs. From the build date/ got me a good ol' Red Top Optima...I have had very good results from these & plenty of power.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...56072157c0.jpg

Damn, 1.3lbs?! I need to drop 99lbs for class limit. My battery now is 11ish i believe and for an ATV or something and has been a great DD and even long term storage for 3.5years now. 10lbs is 10lbs.

I've used Shorai Lithium Batteries before. They work great as long as you drive the car regularly or have on a trickle charger. They are super light.

SSB High Performance Lithium

SSB are introducing a battery especially for the automotive market at the beginning of next year.

Hey all, thread resurrection time!

I wanted to add to this since some yrs have gone by and prices and tech change.

I ended up buying a Deltran Battery Tender LiFeP04. It's a lithium iron battery. Touted as being safe and is what's used in all EV vehicles.

I found it on Amazon.com for $209, weighs 3.4lbs, has 460cca

I'll have it on a tender cuz I don't always drive my Z. I weighed my OEM battery at 39.2lbs. I could feel the weight loss when i took it out for a short drive. It cranked my Z up with ease right out of the box. Now time to get myself a proper mount! Ha Ha

I am researching batteries again and a search reminded me of this thread. While I am close to pulling the trigger on a LithiumPro C680, I am curious how this Battery Tender battery has worked out for you. I see they have a 480cca rated version that might have been the replacement to your 460.

At $270, it is about half the price of the LithiumPro C680.

If you are still running your battery, trouble free, to this day, then I might go that route instead to save the cash.

Just make sure battery is compatible with 370z charging system.

370z may trip BMS over voltage protection as voltage from car can go up to 15v
