fuel starvation

When experiencing fuel starvation dies the car go lean? Having huge issues at Brainerd. Every right turn with two fuel lights gone and I go starvation...should I park the car?

No u should get gas.

Weit wtf r u talking about?

Super Werty 09-07-2014 02:00 AM

Yes it can go lean. Stop doing it until you fix it

iceman21_23 09-07-2014 03:47 AM

Fill up after every session, what I have to do.

Zoren 370 09-07-2014 04:43 AM

Of course if you starve yourself you'll get leaner!
Don't fill in with soda every after meal!

Your Z's weight should be fine.:ugh2:

I do fill and then some after each session. I am really frustrated. I start having issues after 10 minutes. How do race cars fix this?

JARblue 09-07-2014 08:51 AM

Phunk is a forum sponsor and has a product that is probably your best solution. You want the Road Race Fuel Pump in this link http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...-overview.html

Your other option is to keep the tank full. If you're not going to fill the tank, you'll just keep getting fuel starve. Don't do that; park the car.

I have been thinking of duct taping a gas can to the side of the car. :)

Hmm....double gas tank, might be cheaper than CJ fuel starvation kit

Lmfao.

until you get Phunk's solution, when you get the fuel starve the first time, start going through those particular corners up one gear higher than usual and easing off the throttle a tiny bit. you can usually get another 10 minutes out of the car that way. At Road America I was getting it in the carousel with only 1 dot down.

I'll try that...thanks. Very frustrating. All but ruined it for me.

I'm pretty sure he has them in stock too.

iceman21_23 09-09-2014 12:56 AM

1 or 2 dots in i tend to fill up with another 4-6 gallons which is enough to cause the fuel starve like Mike said try a gear up and let off just a bit.

Arrvaxx 09-09-2014 09:30 AM

I think next time I am going to bring a 5 gallon canister with me. That way I can pull off the track and fill it up and not loose too much time. ...Ok for now until I spend $1700 to FIX the issue. Still very upset. FU Nissan.

Careful Arrvaxx, if your running boosted and are into the boost when it goes lean it could very well pop the engine. It only takes one good lean stretch to kill an engine.
