MAF sensor trouble ?!!

hello there ,

this has been killing me for the past 3 weeks

will i live in saudi arabia it gets dusty and we had this sand storm that i though it will last forever ,

my car was shakin and then go off , after looking at the engine i found it was my air filter which was really missed up and a TISSUE got in and blocked the MAF sensor , i cleaned the MAF sensor and found a little piece of that tissue inside it and my RPM was just not stable at idle ...

so i changed the MAF sensors ( both sides ) , and cleaned the throttle bodies as well ,
the RPM is now stable

now the remaining problem :

the RPM is at 1500 at idle !!!!!!
i know its normal for RPM to be high for a while after cleaning the throttle but not that long !

they guy at the shop said it needs to be programmed at the dealer and he will take it to the dealer himself if it needs so.

any ideas ? :shakes head:

Oh my god. If a tissue could get in.. imagine how much sand got in :icon14:

Was the filter not in place? Did it have a hole in it?

Disconnect battery for ten minutes to reset

do the idle relearn procedure which includes throttle closed position reset and gas pedal rest position reset
