LOL, that is one hell of a theory. Especially, how low a Z is and how many screws it takes to remove under pan.

I agree, but thats seems likely if they cant find a leak or oil in the exhaust. Bone dry tells me someone removed it

How far away do you live from work? Is the car garaged?

The crumbiest part about this whole situation is that today is my bday (currently posting from iPhone at my own 25th bday party) and I just received z1 MAF tubes / KN drop ins and Swift springs. :/ I don't even have a car to put Em on at the moment.

Happy Birthday dude, send the parts my way. I will test them out for you for educational purposes.

Hah close! Los Angeles, actually.

Hey all,

I've been holding off on posting because I didn't want any of my frustrations at any certain time fog up actual info.

Its becoming more and more difficult to stay quiet, however.

A month without my Z is nearing, and when I inquire as to the status of this procedure, its always: "we don't have this paperwork from there" or "this other person needs to follow up with this person."

As consumers, we want to feel like we are being taken care of- that the manufacturer will quickly strive to make things right after they have done something wrong. I have loved Zs since I learned about the 240 and couldn't have been happier when I got into my own. Unfortunately, with the way this headache is turning out, I may just end up taking my money elsewhere. I hope no one on here has to go through this, because with all the phone calls and follow ups between dealership and corporate- I may as well be a ******* employee of theirs.

Is your car modded? With so few miles and perfect maintenance I'm confused as to how there is even a question of weather or not it's covered.

Besides a dealer installed jdm rear fog and powder coated wheels... No mods.

As I mentioned earlier, i did just receive swift springs, z1 MAF tubes and K&N drop ins for my bday... But alas, I've nothing to put them on. :/

P's_Z 06-21-2014 07:52 AM

This is one effed up situation :shakes head: Good luck man, really hope this thing gets resolved sooner than later. Having a '13 myself, im gonna keep a closer eye on things from now on
I had a really weird thing happen to my Z the other day, but will post my issue separately ;)

That cracked me up so hard I actually almost chocked on my morning coffee just now.:roflpuke2:

Back to OP, sorry to hear about this issue and I can only imagine the frustration that you are going through. What with calling here and calling there, basically piggy in the middle?

zefaulter 06-21-2014 09:04 AM

That's really unfortunate. Hope Nissan fixes this for you right away. Could you escalate this to higher up managers? That seems to work for me most times

chii370 06-23-2014 09:31 PM

lol new engine out of it? hmmmmm you really think the dealerships going to plop a brand new one in there? yeah right, only an idiot would believe that. Anything to save the almighty dollar. They would buy that **** from ebay or put a 350 engine in it if they could get away with it. treat em like they are scammers and you will never get scammed.

shame though about the Z, thats the first ive heard of ******** out that early. "lemon" has no manufacture boundaries.
