I'm at that point in life where I'm not racing any more. But still loves to go fast. So my track driving is just before the hairy edge. About 8-10ths. I leave a little for those special moments. On the street. I never go above 7-10ths.

Yeah my post meant no disrespect. We have the same goals! My goal is to have the fastest NA track prepped 370z in the states! That means running lap times without aero to beat Doran lap times, and after adding aero, I'll go after valkyrie's times! ;) To put this in perspective, I'm only 6 seconds off Doran's Mid-Ohio lap times with 100 less hp, an extra 350lbs, street tires instead of slicks.

Like I said, Moto IQ is nearly finished with the VQ build! We will probably see numbers in a few weeks! |

Good luck Austin, I saw the parts in your IG, anyway I don't know if vvel will let you rev past 8k without issues.

Love that my old thread has sparked what I have up on. Definitely sub’d about constantly banging 8,300 with touching the intake side of things. 400 will need more compression and serious motor work. Adding a dry sump and ported heads would probably touch that mark.

So everyone who laughed at me many years ago when I started the thread, well here it is. No it isn’t my car but my theory was proven right, 400whp is possible on a NA VHr

Someone just rebuilt an NA engine to 13:1 and did 403hp on E75. Of coarse it had supporting mods. Still haven't figured out why he didn't upgrade the exhaust cams. It was on SOHO's Instagram.

EDIT: I was incorrect, the owner chimed in and actually has Z1 headers. Awesome build and results either way |

BC 92mm stroker crank
13:1 JWT C2 cams Z1 headers Z1 intakes with upgrade OEM GTR injectors and "all of the full bolt ons available from Z1" which I assume means ported upper and lower as well 403whp/314wtq on E75 - it was run out to ~8,100rpm on the dyno, but actually peaked right around 7,600rpm |
