OK you got me. So what the hell do I have? It's got the same resonators and FI mufflers and tips, but the pipe before the resonator has a hump that contained catalytic matrix inside.

Hmm, never seen a cat like that nor on a FI system but I guess since chuck has them they must be. Cats fail all the time so you just found one sooner. I know the vibrant resonators used in the CBE are from an American company but made in china. I'm sure that little turd of a cat is too. O well, I'm glad you found the issue and like chuck said you were just losing power having more cats than even OEM.

Mil.Spec :: Universal :: 100 cell cats :: 2.5" 100 Cell Weld-In Cat

Made in the USA. I don't know why you feel the need to interject the made in China stuff every time that someone mentions Fast Intentions. We get it. You think it's too expensive. Over a thousand people disagree. Let it go and move on.

Very random and unusual to say the least. Good work on figuring it out.

Yeah, previous owner must have had LTH or a turbo setup to have asked for those mini-cats.

As for the "made in China" comments...

The only person that comes into every thread and fills it with tears is you, Scotty. Quality costs money, the FI exhaust costs what it does because it takes time to put together such a high quality piece. Subcomponents like catalytic converters or resonators can be made "wherever" by robots. If they were made in the GOOD OLE U-S of A they'd likely make the entire system cost even more than it does now, and probably for zero improvement in quality.

Parts fail, especially parts like tiny cats likely put in line with turbochargers in a car whose normal exhaust temps are already stupid high. If you don't want to run the risk of a failure, don't mod the car and don't drive it like a race car.

I had a whole bunch of stuff typed here about crappy "mods" and neck tattoos and making other RNs look bad (married to one) but I think I'll hold back on all that, don't need a nastygram about personal attacks, no matter how deserved they may be.

Well, that escalated quickly..

Thankfully it has nothing to do with you anymore. Move along, nice work with deducing the issue. Although to be honest, I would've never bought an exhaust from someone that basically said "oh by the way...don't look inside"
