alarm goes off radomly help!

so came in to work this morning, went in for about an hour then my car alarms goes off. no one was parked near or around my car at all. i went outside to try to just it off it wouldnt shut off, and was like wtf. i then turned the car on, alarms goes away this time when i shut it back off alarm comes back on but very faint and sounds like alarm has been going on for hours and is running out of battery but it isnt(car starts perfectly fine). im thinking its a bad sensor, or maybe moisture due to the rain today, what do you guys think? also alarm wont shut off when i try to shut it off so i just pulled the battery out so it wont drain my battery when i try to go home. sounds kinda like the alarm wants to go off but it doesnt.... any ideas?

Is the emergency button on your key fob jammed in or activated? I'd get an appropriate distance away then remove the battery from your fob and then see if it quits? Don't know anything else easy to try save diagnostics at the dealer to source the sensor that's sending the alarm set message.

Not jammed or activated. will try to remove battery from fob to see it that helps. i do not want to take it in if i dont have to, want to save money if i can. hate getting raped from dealerships

If removing the fob battery doesn't work, take a look at the diagnostics in the FSM.

Yeah I hear ya, not to mention all the "minor" things that happen to the car during their work on it, you know what I mean!

1.) When you press the lock button does the car acknowledge it? (beep or no beep)

If it doesn't, the vehicle think's that a door/hood/trunk is open. Try disconnecting the hood latch switch, then press the lock button on your fob. Try this again with the door switches. You're basically isolating the switches. This is what we would do at a dealership.

okay, lock button does ackowledges everything you just mentioned. worse thing is its even happening when i was driving home. it was a B!TCH everyone was staring at me as if i was crazy. alarm doesnt completely go off but sounds like it wants to go off but doesnt kinda like a b b b bee beep. hopefully that makes sense. was on the way to the dealership but as soon as i arrived the damn beeping magically disappeared so i sat at the dealership for an hour to see if it would start again but nothing. 30 minutes with the car on and 30 minutes with the car off. am i just better taking it to the dealership anyways now? how much do they usually charge to diagnose and what im looking to spend(guesstimate)?

Did you try putting the fob in the dash slot for it? That'll power the fob, I know my car beeps when I walk away when it's running.

I don't know how much a diagnosis will cost you, sorry!

Usually a dealer would charge 1 hour for diag.

Must be a karr system. When I bought mine at pacific nissan in San Diego, they already installed it. I noticed min did that when it got cold and frosty. It would always do it at night and I thought someone was phucking with me but i called karr and they said to put it into valet mode because you can't adjust sensitivity.

Check the door switches. If you pull off the squishy rubber part, they can actually be adjusted.
