Joe shipped it immediately, will be at the house tomorrow, should be back on the road before I know it, I left the tranny strapped to the jack so I can plop it right back in. :)

Joepro 04-02-2014 08:52 PM

That was matts first guess just wanted to avoid pulling the trans because all the turbo pipes have to come off after that I I have it down second, ours trans are fairly easy,to pull

Glad its just the plate. I think the other guy who had a broken clutch had a Southbend also but it was the disc that fragmented.

Are they sending you a whole new clutch assembly w/ a new flywheel or are they just replacing the pressure plate?

That was Mitco... and he was doing 7500rpm 2nd gear launches lol

I just read every post of this thread and it made me super anxious to find out what it was and the whole time I was thinking maybe he should drop the trans and check out all the rotating components... glad it wasn't knocking or something worse!!! thought you were seriously pulling an april fools joke on us

I'll take removing the hot side piping to drop the tranny over drop motor to install turbo manifolds.

Joepro 04-03-2014 06:21 PM

got the new disk and plate all bolted up, running into some alignment issues....there is no real give on the motor side with the z1 mounts, with the oem mounts you could move the engine quite a lot, no go with these mounts, will go at it tomorrow to see what I can come up with.
